butterfudge nuts!, I hate him! Options

My ex boyfriend and I went out for almost a year on and off. We were in love and we planning to be married. I asked for a small break because I needed more time to spend on my school studies and I wouldn't have much time at all to spend with him considering I work as well as go to school. Well, about a month later, I find out he's talking to this girl named Krista, who's also my friend. Well, we had also been talking about getting back together and he said he truly believed I was the one for him and he still wanted to marry me. So when I found out that he was thinking about dating Krista, I told him that I was done with him for good and that I never wanted to talk to him ever again, and for him to never speak, text, or think of me again! That this was it! Well, that has been about a month or so ago, and just last night he texted me.. Any ideas why?

I think you probably rushed into things when you decided to cut him out of your life.

Well, I also think taking breaks are stupid. If you've gotta focus on your schoolwork, why do you also have to push your relationships aside? I never tell my mom, "hey, Mom, I gotta focus on homework, so you wont be my mom for the next month, k?" It's ridiculous. Do you take breaks from your friendships as well?

I, personally, don't think he's in the wrong.

That's just me, though.

I would have to fully agree 100%. Breaks imo are pointless because they don't work.
