IPOD HELP, Anyone? |

I didn't know where to post this but this seemed to be just as good a place as any so yeah. My friends Ipod says do not disconnect and has the blinking thing on top and the computer doesn't notice it is connected. I've tried disk mode and it still doesn't work. My computer once noticed "new hardware" when I connected the ipod and told me to restart but nothing changed. Can someone help?

My best guess would be to reinstall the software. A better place to post problems like this would be www.ipodlounge.com They have forums where you can get help for problems like this.
