I didn't know where to post this but this seemed to be just as good a place as any so yeah. My friends Ipod says do not disconnect and has the blinking thing on top and the computer doesn't notice it is connected. I've tried disk mode and it still doesn't work. My computer once noticed "new hardware" when I connected the ipod and told me to restart but nothing changed. Can someone help?

So umm I managed to Restore my ipod so its back to factory conditions. Now my computer recognizes it with the beep and I can double click the G: to get into the ipod through my computer. But when I click on any of the four folders in the drive it asks me to please insert a disk into the drive. Does anyone know why this might happen? Umm I also recieved a delayed write failed message and when I looked up the problem and tried to fix it there was nothign to change. Can anyone please help me
