Do Container/Wrapper Divs work with myspace?

Also, I have this code for my header image but it still isnt centered viewed here:

CODE

.topbanner { width:935px; height:300px; position:absolute; top:0; left:50%; margin:140px 0 0 -400px; }

Its looks like it auto-aligns to the myspace nav bar.
Will i just have to scale down the width?
