don't you guys notice how in college settings, professor's don't assign seating charts. so why is it that students still sit in the same seat the next day they did from the 1st day of class. we are such territorial animals.

I sit at a different spot every econ and graphic design class... but that might just be because I don't have a specific group of friends I like to sit with in them. In my English and anthropology classes, I sit in the same area up front with a couple of friends.
Maybe it's just easier for people to sit in the same place because it's easier to find each other that way. It won't be very efficient if you have to look for people every single class because they switched seats. Plus people like to sit where they feel comfortable or are familiar with. |
