Today is a weird day at school.
I did an unintentional experiment about self-image. Today i looked decent because i had a new haircut and slimmer jean while i was wearing my typical converse shoe and sleeve. Before that, i was wearing bad jeans and had an nasty Asian afro hair. i looked hideous. with this fresh, new, and clean look, people are noticing me more. my tshirt design was selected to represent this 2008-2009 club tshirt. when i was performing a piano recital in front of everyone, i heard more claps than ever. People actually start talking to me in my classes, joking around, and giving me attentions. My teacher passed by me to say,"hi". All of this happened today. ![]() THIS.IS.SUCH.A.WEIRD.SUPERFICIAL.DAY.EVER. what a world we live in ... Do you ever had a day when you receive more attractions and attentions just because you looked different or better? |

Sometime around 11th to 12th grade, guys started opening doors for me. I mean, everyone does keep the door open usually when someone is close behind them, but every once in a while I come across a guy who opens the door fully and waits for me to go first.
I'm not one of those bitches who gets insulted at chivalry, but it still feels sort of weird that it happened out of nowhere, and I'm not really sure why. But I'm thinking it has something to do with image. Haven't really noticed any difference with girls/friends/teachers though. I do get a lot more stares when I get a new haircut, like the time I got bangs, but it could just be because I looked so different, not because I looked any better. |

AY, girls like you make confuse me, 'cause when I'm working with girls I can't decide whether I should open doors for her out of politeness/chivalry or let her open the door herself to respect her independence. |
