the imaginary me
her tears were ashes, her eyes, the fire the darkness retreated from the fog of her heart i lived in a moonless world, under a starless sky the myst was my desert and she was the sun. with the wind in her hair and howling around and my shoulders bowed over the scorching ground i wept as i walked toward the vision in sight and madness became triumph, fear a delight. what causes these dreams, the mirages i see? are they figments of the imaginary me? |
