Which Classes..? Options

Should I do in High School for these careers:

• Psychology
• Photographer
• Clothes Designer
• Web Designer

These are some of the careers that I am interested. In my high school teachers or counselors don't help us very much & the education in the state in which I am is very low. I need to know so later on when I move to another high school know which classes would help me.

Personally, I feel like you really don't need any specified high school subjects for any of those courses, just some subjects that may be useful. I think as long as you meet all your hs requirements it'll be fine.

For Photography or Web Design, honestly the most important thing is to develop a portfolio. You're nothing if you have no portfolio. Courses in those specific areas will help you develop your skills and talents, and will be something to add to your resume, but at the end of the day, the portfolio and work experience is what gets you the job.

Fashion, again, portfolio is important. Formal education for fashion is probably a little more important than Photography or Web Design, so check out your local art schools that offer fashion courses or w/e, or you could even be self-taught. So again, portfolio is important.

Even for something like Psychology which is more academic, you don't need much specialization. Best thing to do is to check out your university requirements for the major you're planning to go into and see that you fulfill the basic hs requirements for those. The following suggestions are just that...suggestions, but they're not imperative, they just might be helpful.
