You don't have to be religious and you don't have to be a big fan of the holidays, but I hope everyone enjoys the company of their loved ones today. If you drink, toss a few back for me. Never take for granted the embrace of love. Eat some good food, drink some brews, watch the game, and take some time to reflect. //The Don

Hmm, dinner as I can think of atm consists of:
Smoked Turkey Jalapeno Stuffing Jellied Cranberries Garlic Mashed Potatoes Sweet Potatoes Fried Cornish Hen I'm missing a couple things for dinner, but I'll remember tomorrow when it's time to make it. The turkey is basting overnight in a brine that consists of: Celery Green Onions Regular Onions About a gallon of water with two cups of sea salt A cup of brown sugar Apple juice andd A cup of bourbon Desert: 2x Pumpkin Pies 1x Cherry Pie 1x Lemon Meringue Pie Oh and I'm cooking all of it :( Oh yeah how could I forget?! Étouffée and jambalaya! |
