so i got my cartilage pierced recently and i was just wondering how i should clean it? like what should i use? i tried researching online but i've been getting mixed reviews. so far, i've gathered that you can use rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide or salt water. BUT every site keeps telling me conflicting opinions on the effectiveness of the three and stuff. basically, one site is telling me rubbing alcohol is a no-no, while another site swears on it (btw, i'm using rubbing alcohol currently cause i found that first lol). so question - what do you guys use to clean your cartilage piercings?

I hear the best thing to use is a salt water solution.
I've never tried it but it's supposed to work really well. I use(d) hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip on all 8 of my piercings, but like the other sites said, for some people it is a no-no. _dry.gif It all depends on the sensitivity of your skin. I'd think rubbing alcohol is a bit strong, but whatever works for you. Also, I wouldn't use the Claire's solution since it's so watered down. I also put a little neosporin on the piercing after I cleaned them, but again, some sites say not to do this, so it's up to you. It worked fine for me and my piercings healed really well. Also, if it starts keloiding, you might want try tea tree oil.
