There is evidence that whichever member of a couple is more attractive, or less in love, is at an advantage and is more able to influence the partner than vice versa (Peplau, 1979).

For a while, I was on this kick where I actually enjoyed for the woman to be in complete control of the entire relationship. That was the case until I realized that, after new relationships continued to fail, I began to lower my standards (in character) and settle.

Now, I can't afford for someone to control me. I don't want to beat my chest and say that I have to wear the pants, but my life is in order, and for me to invite a woman to share my life, I have to maintain this order that I've worked so hard for.
