Hi guys! I was just wondering, based on personal opinions, do you agree with the advice people usually give you that you should study what you are passionate about in post-secondary as opposed to something that you don't really like, but will give you a better economic return in the end? Especially with the economic turmoil going on in North America, would it worth the risk to give up a good program in say, business for something you find more interest in like humanities which is less likely to get you a job?

i opted to do what i like over what i knew would make me more money, which is how i started out in college. i'm one of those do what you love and the money will work itself into the equation somehow kind of people.
i duno, i don't think money is ever going to make up for being bored for me, but i think everyone feels differently about that depending on their background and what not. i also think it depends on what jobs your talking about and whether one leaves time for you to pursue other interests on the side or not. |
