A Milli is probably among the best and the worst songs I've heard this year for shared reasons. The song has no verse structure and the beat is simplistic. It's an 808, snare and a screwed voice sample. So why is it so popular? When you throw in an inconsistent rhyme scheme in addition to humorous, impressive and downright lame metaphors in the mix, it doesn't equate to success. Even though Lil' Wayne and his image gets on my nerves, I cannot deny that this song broke the mold. So much for counting bars and structuring a song.
