I get a validation error when I validate my blog located at http://webcopywritersblog.com/ which has the My World theme here on http://validator.w3.org/:

QUOTE
Validation Output: 1 Error

Line 158, Column 361: there is no attribute "allowtransparency".

The line:
…mp;w=200&h=60" allowtransparency="true" frameborder="0" height="60" width

You have used the attribute named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not support that attribute for this element. This error is often caused by incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Transitional" document type to get the "target" attribute), or by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "marginheight" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).

This error may also result if the element itself is not supported in the document type you are using, as an undefined element will have no supported attributes; in this case, see the element-undefined error message for further information.

How to fix: check the spelling and case of the element and attribute, (Remember XHTML is all lower-case) and/or check that they are both allowed in the chosen document type, and/or use CSS instead of this attribute. If you received this error when using the <embed> element to incorporate flash media in a Web page, see the FAQ item on valid flash.

When I saw my header.php file, it shows this:

QUOTE
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

How do I fix this?

Additional Information:

Previously I used to get an error saying:

"Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet Site http://webcopywritersblog.com. Operation Aborted."

I wish to know how do I resolve this issue.
Can anyone help please?

Ron

I resolved this issue here.

Here's how:

I have the Google Talk plugin and it required a google talk badge code to be copied in the widgets sidebar which has the attribute:

allowtransparency="true" and I deleted the attribute from the widgets bar located in my wordpress admin > design > widgets > Google Talk.

Basically there was a google talk badge code to be entered into the google talk widget which was copied from my google apps badge and it had this code.

I deleted the code and the plugin still works fine, it shows up on my blog and the blog passes validation after deleting allowtransparency="true" from the google talk widgets area.

Really cool naa.. I am new to programming and all, a new comer though I have successfully got one error validated and its a huge satisfaction for me. I am really very happy. ;)

I want people to know this error so when they search across Google and in this forum, they would love to read the resolution here. Happy. cooly.gif flowers.gif showoff.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif
