What do you think of this?
 EDIT: Okay, I re-blended the images and added the same effects to it. I dont think it looks as boxy now. What do you guys think?

^I assume you have a layer on top of all the other layers, right? Just bring up the opacity.
I think the dead look kind of works for this, but I see what Mark means. I really like the textures & brushes you used; they're cute & fit the theme well. And I agree about the blending. Try & blend them instead of erasing, if that makes sense. Maybe if you arranged the pictures differently your blend would come out better. I like what you were going for. Good job.
