No one is assuming you're stupid.  he didn't say he was good at argument or speeches. He simply just stated he will probably join debate because he likes to talk, not because he was good at arguing or presenting speeches. It is a common stereotype that speech and debate is for nerds, argumentative people, hardcore speakers, and geniuses that requires high level debate & speech skills , but it's not true at all. Almost every girl generally likes to talk, but we know it doesn’t automatically make them good debaters or speech-er. again, you're not stupid (because you're smart) |
