a kind of discourtesy in the form of an act of presuming;
http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=presumption

I get home from work much later than everyone else this evening. My purse and my bag isn't even on the floor before I'm asked what I'm making for dinner. This is getting REALLY OLD.

Don't you hate it when people presume that you will do certain things on a regular basis?

PS - It wasn't my son who asked. A child his age should presume that his mother is making him dinner.

PSS - Am I using this word correctly? I don't want Cristy to kick my ass. ph34r.gif

I hate when people assume. In your case, said person should have gotten off of their ass and made something to eat.
