my computer's been running hella slow lately , like when i start it up it like starts REALLY SLOWW... &i think its cause i have a lot of programs in my computer , and just now i wanted to remove some programs , but when i opened add/remove programs this huge blank space shows instead of all the programs.
something like this:

btw i have windows XP. i know , old ]: but yeah . (:

it's probably just your norton. i'd uninstall it and use one of them free online scanners like what synkro posted.

check your startup items through 'msconfig' and not through programs menu:
start> run> type msconfig
choose startup tab

uncheck everything but wifi/antivirus
if you're confused send me some boob pics and ill fix it for you.
