wanna know why this site loses people?

Breakerforlyfe made a decent normal topic at 2:00 pm today and im the only one who replied....at 8:00pm! its now 10.....no other replies... and its not like its being bumped to page 3 or anything, like an active forum, but its still the newest topic!

lol this happens with so many topics as well, i try to stay but then im like..."lawl f**k it!". there's other forums where even the WORST topics will get at least some replies in a normal time, then get bumped to page 5. but when a user makes a topic and never gets any support, it kinda discourages the stay. ya feel me? this is ridiculous maynneee. its sad to see this site die like this. ^ Hey, just curious, do you guys actually receive the letters that high schoolers send en masse every few times a year? If so, do you really read them? Do you enjoy getting them?

I know I'm probably stereotyping whatever you do with my naive view of "what a soldiers does," but... I'm just curious.

Erm, you're a marine, right? Are marines soldiers? I feel like I've read you complain about people calling marines soldiers somewhere before, or was it the other way around... I just don't know.

Anyways, bottom line - do you receive lots of letters from kids?

-I am a United States Marine. Formally regarded as a 'Soldier of the Sea' during times of amphibious landings, but the term is pretty much dead. I don't get mad, I just correct people if they really don't know. Marine > Soldier.

I've received a random letter from a 10 year old in New York. The kid idolized Marines and had dreams of being a General. It was crazy to be contacted by someone so young who already had such big dreams. That's the only one I received, though.
