A few years ago, we had a thread regarding Mayan’s prediction about the end of the world, 12/25/2012
We’re heading to the date in four more years! What do you think will happen? Could anything happen right now could relate to the innovation of 2012? |

The financial crisis is a worldwide affliction. The U.S. has the largest and most influential economy in the world, which is why foreign banks are peeved with the dilemma originating over here. WWII helped bring America out of The Great Depression. interesting! more details! please! I'm currently studying economy/gov at my school. about the war, in ww2, America grew out of the depression because their homeland was safe. Germany's homeland was not safe because they were constantly under attack during the productions of weapons. did the production puts them in a good economy? No. it was widely damaged and "bleeding". we dont know if ww3 will pull us out of the depression. war doesn't promise anyone out of depression because Germany had financial issues during the war. |

interesting! more details! please! I'm currently studying economy/gov at my school. about the war, in ww2, America grew out of the depression because their homeland was safe. Germany's homeland was not safe because they were constantly under attack during the productions of weapons. America only entered the war after they were attacked on their own soil, so no. There was widespread concern hitherto about potential involvement and to what affect the conflict would have on the U.S. Also, by definition, an economic crisis diminishes national security, so you're working with a tautological problem right there. How did America get out of The Great Depression by being safe when they weren't safe because of The Great Depression? QUOTE did the production puts them in a good economy? No. It did. The increased demand for goods and commodities bolstered the workforce, whereas the New Deal only stifled the pain. There was a huge surge in industry during this period from the demand of equipment and new technologies. Most of the economy was being run as a command and control system with rationing and forced savings, which ensured a cycle of demand. QUOTE we dont know if ww3 will pull us out of the depression. war doesn't promise anyone out of depression because Germany had financial issues during the war. That's because they were still suffering from the repercussions of post-World War I. Basically, everyone recognized that Germany was kind of dickish, so they placed economic sanctions on them, which overran their course and instigated hyperinflation. It's pretty much the exact opposite of our situation and the widespread dependence that foreign countries have on the U.S. economy. In conclusion: make war, not love. |
