I like to use the ones that look like this:  They're usually way too long so then I just erase bits of it with a large brush at 0% Hardness. Oh and of course I have to resize them, use the warp tool, change the proportions of it, etc, to fit her eyes. I'll do the lashes on a new layer, in black. Then I'll colourize it, first by increasing the lightness to about 50, saturation about 20, and the hue to a brown-ish shade. Then set the new layer to Multiply and adjust either the lightness or opacity to your liking. It doesn't look realistic to just slap on the brush in straight-up black, since no one has truly grey/black hair with no warmth to it. |
