I don't remember where i heard this, but from what i know, P.E started because during WWI or WWII (i'm thinking it's WWII) when people got drafted for the war, they were SOOOOO out of shape, it was sad
 So then they made it a must in the schools.My old highschool made us take it the first two years then the next two, you had to take another elective. My new one makes us take it every year
