I didn't know where to post this but this seemed to be just as good a place as any so yeah. My friends Ipod says do not disconnect and has the blinking thing on top and the computer doesn't notice it is connected. I've tried disk mode and it still doesn't work. My computer once noticed "new hardware" when I connected the ipod and told me to restart but nothing changed. Can someone help?

Make sure you have the software installed. That includes the iPod updater and system software from the disc that came with your iPod. Make sure your iPod is turned on when it's plugged into the computer. If you have Windows XP, your computer should make a little beep when you plug it in to let you know it recognized you plugged in new hardware. Open iTunes and it should bring a window open to put songs on your iPod. That's if it recognizes the hardware is plugged in.
It seems it's working since it did recognize it once, you said. I have an iPod so I will try to help you with this as much as possible. |
