I didn't know where to post this but this seemed to be just as good a place as any so yeah. My friends Ipod says do not disconnect and has the blinking thing on top and the computer doesn't notice it is connected. I've tried disk mode and it still doesn't work. My computer once noticed "new hardware" when I connected the ipod and told me to restart but nothing changed. Can someone help?

umm..
when you connect your ipod to yur computer, it will always say "do not disconnect". if you disconnect when it says that, some of your songs willl get messed up. to make it OK to disconnect go to itunes (if you're using it to update your ipod) and then select your ipod on the left (it might say "yournamehere's IPOD") and then on the bottom right hover over all the links and look for the one that says "eject ipod". click that and wait until your ipod screen says "ok to disconnect". |
