Top left hide? Options

K so someone gave me this code to hide everything on the top left of my myspace for my band..... IS there a way to hide the -default pic and pics/vid link, but keep the top heading (display name) ?

K i'm usin g this code to try to make a div to hide the pics/vids links..... how /where do i insert a code to make the div have a background???? and what code do i use to make it have a background? I've searched all over and cant find anything that works..... right now i have this
