Any suggestions? I can't afford to go to a therapist or get a massage right now and it's really painful and uncomfortable. It's on/around my left shoulder blade.
I read somewhere that you can put a couple of tennis balls in a sock and sort slide your back on top of them (laying down). |

Maybe have your son walk across your back when you get home? I have girls do that for me, and it always works. Oh god, I just had this nightmarish image of him using my back like a trampoline! lol Take a hot shower and rub on the area to release tension on the myofibrils. Heat in any form will have the same effect. Also, since it's not a spinal issue, you can do stretches to help with the pain. That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all. So heating pads work (do you think)? Also, my mom mentioned some type of lotion or cream (Bengay... yes, the name still makes me giggle haha) but it smells like old lady. lol At this point though, I don't care if I smell like flaming shit. I'm tired of this stupid knot! When I have a knot in my back, I sit up strait and twist it by turning only the top part of my body around until it cracks. See, cracking doesn't work for me anymore and since it's in the shoulder blade area, I'm not sure if cracking would help anyway. :[ Thanks for taking the time to give me some advice, folks. I really appreciate it. :] |
