I've been best friends with this boy since I was about four, and now he says he wants to hangout in groups because he doesn't want people thinking the wrong idea. I also got the vibe that he thinks I want him. We don't really hangout as much as we used to, but we are the types that don't have to see each other in order to still be close. What should I do about this situation without ending our friendship?
Have you ever ended up dating a best friend of the opposite sex? |

I think you should sit this guy down, and tell him exactly how you feel. You don't actually like him that way, right? So tell him. If he's still acting funny towards you, then explain to him once more that what he's doing is super annoying and that all you want to be is friends.
I've been in a situation similar to yours before... there's this guy I've known since I was six, and we were pretty close friends for a couple of years in high school. I started having these feelings for him when we were in grade 10 and he found out. It got a bit awkward, but I got over it and I made SURE he knew. We got back to normal after that... but now we've kind of drifted apart. But that has nothing to do with this. |

Idk bra, are you aware of the average maturity level of a 16 year old male, and how well they deal with women being emotional? Now I know there are exceptions, and those who deal with it quite well, but think about the average male. Also, try to analyze the way the OP is typing, think about what kind of boy would date her. Not intended as an insult, but it doesn't seem like the super mature type would be dating her. |
