This song is getting ridiculously over hyped by the mainstream. I thought she was an indie artist?

I remember showing someone M.I.A. and she was like, "WTF I can't understand her!" (This was when she came out with Bucky Done Gun.) And now she has Paper Plane in her playlist.
But I also think it's rather interesting that people have been sampling off of that song. Okay, so I only know one song that sampled off of it but that's really besides my point. |

I've never consider her an Indie artist  Bucky Done Gun got a lot of play here.
