Didn't that identify "excessive passion" as his Achilles heel? It's at least an acknowledgment of the question, which is more than Palin did.

Didn't that identify "excessive passion" as his Achilles heel? It's at least an acknowledgment of the question, which is more than Palin did. That would be identifying what others think your Achilles' heel is, not what you think it to be. If he had said, "I think I have a problem with excessive passion", that would at least be direct, but also a complete cop-out, as if being passionate is hard-hitting criticism of one's own character. On the questions that Biden did address directly, though (and it was a lot of them), he did a very good job. He was able to cite specific pieces of legislation and the contexts that went around them. |
