I've been best friends with this boy since I was about four, and now he says he wants to hangout in groups because he doesn't want people thinking the wrong idea. I also got the vibe that he thinks I want him. We don't really hangout as much as we used to, but we are the types that don't have to see each other in order to still be close. What should I do about this situation without ending our friendship?

We are 16. We have been fine until these past few months..its just weird for us to go through something like this. I kinda think part of it is his parents. They are really religious so I think that might have something to do with it, like they think if we are in the same room im gonna try to have sex with him.
