moleskine Options

ok so, a while back, I saw a post where this chick was making something for her boyfriend with a moleskine. I guess it was like pages filled with pictures and such. I want to do something sort of like that, except for just a guy friend.
how long do you think it would take to make something like that?
where's the best place to get a nice high quality but cheap moleskine? is it possible to, like, sew things onto the cover?
any ideas/tips?

Okay. Fair point. That was a dumbass question.

But I guess what I meant to ask is why they're so... popular? Revered? I think those are the words I'm reaching for. What makes them "different" from any other memo pad/composition book/bound notebook? What's with the exceptionalism?

yeah i think it's the paper is thicker than most. i mean it's a good quality little notebook. although i'm way happier with my current skechbook than i ever was with a moleskine...

also i think people want it for this reason
