ok so, a while back, I saw a post where this chick was making something for her boyfriend with a moleskine. I guess it was like pages filled with pictures and such. I want to do something sort of like that, except for just a guy friend.
how long do you think it would take to make something like that?
where's the best place to get a nice high quality but cheap moleskine? is it possible to, like, sew things onto the cover? laugh.gif
any ideas/tips?

[uhh, didn't know where this belongs. stuck it here, of course.]

I was the one who made the book for my boyfriend.

How long it'll take depends on what kind of moleskine you want. My pocket-sized one only has 80 pages and it has limited space, so it's easy to fill it. But I used a large one for my boyfriend book & that had 100 pages and a lot of empty space... It took me almost 2 months to fill 66 pages. Granted, I was working on it at a rate of about 10 pages per week, so if I didn't work on it so much, it would've taken me a lot longer.

Your best bet for cheap moleskine is ebay. The large moleskine sketchbooks I bought were almost $20 & I bought them at crafts stores and Barnes & Noble.

I don't think you can sew things ONTO the cover, because it's pretty hard, but you can always use a glue gun to put stuff on it.

Good luck!

ohhh! you. I couldn't think of your screenname. :]
if it isn't much trouble, could you send me a few pictures if you have any?

also, are there any actual stores besides B&N that sell them?
