Just a suggestion, but maybe if we solicited more OS nerds to CB, we can have a section where people can submit themes and icon packages for different operating systems. Checking out sites like kubuntu-art.org, and ubuntu-art.org is cool, but CreateBlog has a much better setup and it's a hell of a lot easier to navigate.
I'm sure I can get some techies to check this forum out, and if there's a section where they can submit their artwork to improve a given operating system, it would add another dimension to the site. I've made two themes for the Linux OS Gnome desktop (yes, I like Gnome as opposed to KDE), but they're relatively amateur compared to what I've seen, but I'd be more than willing to be the guinea pig in this scenario. Feedback? |

This might be me generalizing a bit, and I apologize if it comes out offensive but the majority of people I know that use Linux are older (than teenagers, that is). The majority of members here are quite young. I'd love to see more offerings such as OS Themes but unfortunately that type of talent doesn't frequent this forum much. |
