ugh, i know. the worst feeling is not knowing. you keep running around in circles inside your head & you dig a hole for yourself while trying to make sense of something that obviously doesn't make sense.

but like people have mentioned, try to talk to him if you guys are on good terms still. he owes it to you to provide some answers if he was the one who broke up with you. ask him to meet you somewhere (not at each other's houses, go to like a park or something) just to chat for a short period of time so that you can bring closure to the relationship. but only say that if you truly mean it - don't go into the conversation expecting him to take you back since that is probably not gonna be the case. from personal experience, these talks can be really helpful in helping you to 'move on', but be warned that emotions are high in these convos, so be calm and careful about what you say. it can quickly escalate into a big fight.

when you ask him about having this conversation, say something along the lines of "i feel that there are unanswered questions regarding the breakup. i know that you may not think there's anything left to say, but i feel that there is so i would really appreciate it if we could meet up sometime to talk about it. this is moreso closure for me than anything else."

during the conversation, be mentally prepared. if he agreed to the conversation, then he's probably gonna be blunt honest about the reasons why he broke up with you. prepare yourself for those answers, because it's gonna hurt. even when i almost knew what my ex was gonna say, it still hurt to hear it coming directly from him. so brace yourself & keep your cool.
