Photoshop CS3 question, saving files to my computer |

well for some weird reason, whenever i try to save a picture i edited in photoshop to my pictures folder, it won't save.
it will save but when i go to my picture's folder, it's not there. :/ can anyone tell me why and how to fix this? i've tried saving it as a .gif file, PNG file, JPEG file. i've tried clicking "save as..." and "save for web and devices" it still won't work. :/ whenever i tried to save my picture as a "PNG file" it said it couldn't save because of a disk error? i'd like to get really good at photoshop but i don't see the point when my files don't even save to my pictures folder. :( |

Can you save anything else (pictures from the internet, Word documents, etc.)? If you can't, it's not the program that's the problem.
