A little...too extreme. Options

I've never really had guys into me. My friends insure me I'm good looking it's just my overall attitude towards guys is a little..relaxed. I'm just one of the guys. I play video games, I watch sports.

Well there is this guy that went to my school who was obsessed with a former best friend (..how obsessed? He got arrested outside her building for singing too loudly at 2 in the morning the song of her and her actual boyfriend)

Me and him were pretty good friends until this all went down. He got sent to a psyche ward. (YES an actual psyche ward) Now is diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Bi-Polar. Well apparently my former best friend was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when he became obsessed with her.

Who does he actually like? Apparently it's me. He's started to get just as obsessive. Phoning me all the time, won't take no for an answer. Telling people we're dating, and when I correct the story he says I'm a tease. Though he knows I've never been into him. I've been straight up this entire time (It's hard not to be with the majority of my friends being guys)

But now I'm getting a bit scared, so I'm not entirely sure what to do. Ideas?

If I talk to him, I don't want to be alone so that doesn't work. I could get a restraining order, but I don't have any real reason to as of yet. I'm going to keep safe etc but if it gets extreme like phoning my parents or following me then I'll have to.

I've talked to him before that's the thing but it doesn't go through. He just goes back to his friends saying "I think she's into me dude"
