The other night I went to a show downtown, and between bands my friend and I got thirsty so we decided to walk down the street a bit to this coffee shop to get something to drink. I went there all the time last year, so I went to open the door and was completely stunned when some guy asked for my ID. Apparently over the summer the place had been bought out and turned into a bar. What the hell??? There's already 50,000 other bars around, that was the absolute last thing we needed. But anyway, I'm really pissed because the place used to be convenient, open late, and pleasantly isolated from the rest of the craziness that goes on down there.

There's a Starbucks close to where I live that's going to be closed soon. It just kinda sucks because that's the only place other than Wal-Mart you can go when you're feeling restless after 10pm.
