Here's a problem with arranged marriages Options

I was talking about this in cBC, but decided to turn it into a topic.

Alright, so I got this friend who found out that she's caught up in an arranged marriage. The guy's decent and all, she had no real problems with him.

However... Knowing that he she was gonna end up with this guy no matter what, she just let herself go and starting eating everything and anything she wanted, and started being lazy and unkempt.

LOL, sucks for the guy.

Anyway, if you knew you were gonna be stuck with one guy/girl, and held down to it, how would you have reacted?

almost all of my relatives have had arranged marriages and i seriously loathe the idea of the whole concept. my parents know how i feel about the situation, but they still want to pick a bunch of indian guys for me and have me pick. i'm like, uhmmm NO THANKS lol.

but i totally understand your friend's reaction, but i wouldn't do that. i would keep myself in shape and if the marriage didn't work out, then i would still look good for another guy ;)
