Here's a problem with arranged marriages Options

I was talking about this in cBC, but decided to turn it into a topic.

Alright, so I got this friend who found out that she's caught up in an arranged marriage. The guy's decent and all, she had no real problems with him.

However... Knowing that he she was gonna end up with this guy no matter what, she just let herself go and starting eating everything and anything she wanted, and started being lazy and unkempt.

LOL, sucks for the guy.

Anyway, if you knew you were gonna be stuck with one guy/girl, and held down to it, how would you have reacted?

Oh gosh. I don't think the reaction she should've had is to stop caring about herself. I understand that it's depressing but jesus.

But how I would've reacted: probably thrown a fit, yelled at my parents. If the guy turned out to not be an a-hole, I'd try to get into it, give the guy a chance. But if he's a lame ass, DIVORCE. Or annulment. Always a way out.
