while i was cleaning my room, i came across this forever 21 bag and i noticed that it says "John 3:16" on the bottom folds...
i thought this was really odd...i looked up John 3:16 in my bible and it says QUOTE By this we have come to know love, because that one surrendered his life for us; and we are under obligation to surrender [our] souls for [our] brothers. i don't get it...why would forever 21 have this bible thing on its bags?  |

To all of you people who are 'offended' by this.. grow up. It's their company, they can do whatever they want. If you don't like it, don't buy from them. It's not that complicated.
They're not trying to 'convert' anyone by putting a scripture reference on the bottom of their bags.. If they were really interested in converting people, there's many more effective ways to do it. Especially considering all the money they have at their disposal. I'm still confused by it myself.. I'm not sure what exactly their motive is. Personally I think it's to appeal to the religious crowd, without being all preachy about it. But hey, that's just my opinion. |
