It's a sad day when a place that gives happiness in the form of cookies goes broke. I mean, they're COOKIES. Who doesn't love them? In a recession, it seems to me that people should be eating cookies more than ever. 'Cos -- you know -- cookies are awesome and chocolate makes the pain go away, at least for a little bit.

Thanks Bush.

Dude wtf!? I friend works at Mrs. Fields, and I usually go to her whenever I'm at the mall to get free cookies. OMG. Now where am I going to get my free cookies at? mad.gif

Okay so I just scanned through the article and found this:

QUOTE
Mrs. Fields, which has about $196 million in publicly-traded debt
GODDAMN that's a lot of debt.

And, for all you yogurt lovers, watch out:
QUOTE
Mrs. Fields, which licenses and franchises about 1,200 Mrs. Fields Cookies and TCBY frozen yogurt locations worldwide,
Although Pinkberry is better.

Filing for bankruptcy doesn't mean they're going shut down the entire Mrs. Fields operation, but they're going to have to cut costs somehow =\
