Just wondered if anyone here enjoys online comics as much as I do. I just can't get enough of them! I read quite a few, but there are only a handful that I read on a regular basis.
- Ctrl-Alt-Del: It's a gaming-themed comic. I'm not a gamer, but I'm familiar enough with video games that it's still funny. Plus the characters are cool, and there's a fun long-running plot line. Except for the recent miscarriage. Seriously, WTF? There's nothing comical about a miscarriage -- although I can respect the author's attempt to move the comic in a more artistic direction.
- Cyanide and Happiness: This comic is just f**king funny, and way, way over the top (not to mention inappropriate most of the time). I probably shouldn't find most of the humor funny...but I do.
- Order of the Stick: It's a pretty funny D&D-themed comic. It's always been funny, but now that it has a long-running plot, it's even better. I started reading it last summer, when someone in another forum linked to comic #200. I fell in love, and spent a week or so reading all the other strips. I've followed it ever since. This is pretty sappy, but I especially liked the romantic subplot between the rogue and the bard.
- Penny Arcade: The first comic I really got into, but it's still a good one. Also a gaming-themed one, and definitely funny.
- PhD Comics: This one is a recent find, but also pretty funny in an academic kind of way. It's probably only funny if you're a PhD student, but it's awesome nonetheless.
- xkcd: This one's super geeky, and I adore it -- enough to let the questionable artistic talent slide. Sometime's the writer's a bit too emo and, well, pathetic, but his geekiness is enough to overcome the occasional depressing comic.
