When I play a video in YouTube, DailyMotion, Facebook, etc., the video has no sound/audio. The video plays fine but there is no sound output even though the sound volume bar was set to highest level. The weird thing is that it seems as though only online videos are affected, because other sounds such as MSN notifications and audio from media players work fine when I play music and videos.

I tried on both Firefox and IE, and it's the same for both. This started happening last night.

I googled this, and most of the solutions were to download a program to fix it. Is it possible to fix the problem without having to download anything?

Have you tried any of these steps?

(I'm not terribly familiar with flash players, but thought I'd try to help anyway)

I have this problem alot where none of my volume works but my msn

First off just turn off your computer and turn it back on.
dont restart it because for some reason it doesnt work.

If its still not working, then you have to re-install your program that you use for the sound.

Well the sound from iTunes and Windows Media Player and every other sound from my computer works... just not the audio from online videos. It's weird... And it started happening last night. I turned my computer back on this morning, and it was in the same condition. ><
