hi. so my boyfriend and i have been dating for about 8.5 months now and since we live close we spend as many days possible together. earlier in the summer i went away for 11 days straight and missed him insanely. i was at all girls government type conference and just wanted to go home and be with him all the time. i survived and have spent the last two weeks with him but now i'm going away to a camp for 4 weeks. this is also the first time i'm really going away for a long time in general.. i mean i'll miss my family but i'm really worried about missing him and him missing me. i know it's sounds so crazy because other relationships work with distance but if any of you know from experience.. how do you handle it? i'll have my laptop with me and i'll obviously talk to him on the phone but i also want to make sure i enjoy myself, meet people and have fun. i want to find an equal balance between being there and still holding on to him. i don't know. any advice/suggestions? thanks ;]

this seems almost like an obsession. you cant have your world revolving around him their are times (like your camp) that you wont see him for a long time and you will just have to trust him that he will be their for you when you come back to see him. You treat him like he's a kid by saying that you are worried about him missing you, guys are strong im pretty sure he will be fine by himself a couple of weeks and its not forever.

i agree with doughnut, just have your time for him and then the rest of your time for yourself and meeting new people. you need to learn how to do things by yourself and be focused and not think about him every minute. Good luck and dont worry you will see him soon enough _smile.gif .
