Found a site on the internet--http://www.picnik.com/

Picnik makes your photos fabulous with easy to use yet powerful editing tools. Tweak to your heart’s content, then get creative with oodles of effects, fonts, shapes, and frames.
It's fast, easy, and fun.

For photoshop and paint shop pro users, is it a good thing or a bad thing? You really had a hard time studying and learning the techniques for editing programs like photoshop and paint shop pro that you need tutorials to do it (i'd like to thank createblog for this one. tongue.gif laugh.gif ) but now, now that we have picnik, it is sort of "unfair" to see a program that just "gives away" the same effects you could get in photoshop in just one click away. I mean, for me, having the ability to edit stuff in photoshop awes alot of my schoolmates which makes me happy because it sort of gives me a uniqueness. But now, there's this site which gives the same effect in a much more easier way that enables more people to do edited photos, and where is the uniqueness in that? On the brighter side though, you do get to edit stuff in a more faster way.
So there, I'd like to know your opinion about this site and I'd like to know if it really is a good or bad thing for photoshop and paint shop pro users. biggrin.gif

I might actually have a little bit of a different stance on this... Although I'm 100% sure that photoshop is 1000x better than any web based image editor, having web based editors may give the photoshop failures a reason to believe they got what it takes to become a great designer... which is a little frustrating. I mean, I've seen people out there who think they're so awesome because they made some sort of graphic with online help. This is a but frustrating to me because I've been a designer for a couple of years now and it took me a long time to get where I am today with my skills. I'm still not AWESOME at what I do but a least I got there on my own where as some else can just come along and claim that they're an amazing designer through sites like these... I know I'm not the only one who sucked at designing when I first started, so why shouldn't other noobs too.

At least there may be a drop in the # of jockers I get... maybe those nubs can figure out how to use those sites too...
