Art Is Amor is my site name not just my screen name. Since I was a little girl, I have been the biggest art geek I know. I loved it all. Painting sculpting dance, song, poetry, printing, graphics - EVERYTHING.
I always had a motto "Art Is Love" but it sounded too boring to be a site name. So I thought, okay, Im Latina, why the hell not put "Amor"? BAMMM! Art Is Amor was "born" in March 2003. I started off doing "dollz" at my old site. (http://artisamor.awardspace.com) Then i was on MySpace seeing all these sites n thought I could SOOOOOO do that so I decide to do graphics for people to actually use... How did you sites get your start?

At first, my site name was Eternal Illusions... but I didn't really liek it because 1) It was just really arbitrary... I had no inspiration what so ever. and 2)In the site URL it looked like EternalIllusions when looks like I have a 4 "l" thing going on.
The I started making designs and I really like using the outer glow effect. It especially looks pretty when you use it on the star brushes in the photoshop default brushes. I wanted a name that sounded ethereal but also a bit grungy, since I love using textures too. soo... Celestial Abyss was born... and I haven't looked back. It's currently my website/CB/DeviantART/AIM/MSN screenname. |
