Sometimes I'm just far too nice for my own good. I think I'm over it. I'm sick of playing devil's advocate for people. Most people don't appreciate it anyway and more often than not, it ends up biting me in the ass. Have you ever tried anything in vein, for the "right" reason only to find out that the best thing for them is to be a complete ass like you wanted to be in the first place? A guess a nicer way to put it is, "tough love." Have you tried to go about something in a nice way only to find that if you had a more assertive approach, the person would have been better off? |

Still finding the right balance in all this. Meaning - balancing an assertive to not so bitchy approach. (Sorry, I'm out of it and not dealing with spelling and the like right now lol).
I'm finding more and more that going with my natural instinct is far better than the "nice" way of doing things sometimes. For example - this morning I nicely signed for a couple of heavy boxes that came in (from UPS). Some guy asked if I was going to carry them in. I told him, "no, I need to change my tampon." No questions asked, he carried them in himself. So THERE! |
