I have a lot of those.
Lord of the Flies Catcher in the Rye Grapes of Wrath Jane Eyre A Tale of Two Cities A Farewell to Arms Catch-22 The Sun Also Rises For Whom the Bell Tolls Atlas Shrugged And to my ultimate shame: Native Son Black Boy And I didn't read Great Expectations, Pride and Prejudice, and 1984 until I got to college. I don't believe I got through high school (and two AP courses) without having to read them. |

One post isn't enough to list them all, but here are a few.
Catch-22 The Da Vinci Code Catcher in the Rye The Scarlet Letter Great Expectations Jane Eyre A Tale of Two Cities (but I did watch the movie; it was really sad) Oliver Twist Frankenstien The Giver QUOTE Scott Westerfeld's Uglies trilogy. There're actually four books now - "Extras" is the latest. I read the first one, and it was really good, but I just couldn't bring myself to read the second one. I checked it out from the library and all, but it just sat there collecting dust under my bed before I had to return it. |
