Art Is Amor is my site name not just my screen name. Since I was a little girl, I have been the biggest art geek I know. I loved it all. Painting sculpting dance, song, poetry, printing, graphics - EVERYTHING.
I always had a motto "Art Is Love" but it sounded too boring to be a site name. So I thought, okay, Im Latina, why the hell not put "Amor"? BAMMM! Art Is Amor was "born" in March 2003. I started off doing "dollz" at my old site. (http://artisamor.awardspace.com) Then i was on MySpace seeing all these sites n thought I could SOOOOOO do that so I decide to do graphics for people to actually use... How did you sites get your start?

I had worked on a bunch of Neopets sites in the past, and I had a couple of smaller sites. I decided to open a myspace layout site, since I liked making layouts and I already had a few saved that I had made myself.
I asked my mom what I should name my site and we thought and then I came up with Sharper Myspace. I got the idea from the store Sharper Image. I thought it sounded cool. Now I kinda wish I had named it Sharper Designs, since I am wanting to stray away from Myspace and focus more on resources. Maybe I will change in the future, but right now I don't think it is a big issue. |
