Hello, my fellow members.

i am currently a senior of some high school at Southern California. i will be working on my registration for college admissions and stuff. What advices do you have? Any recommendation?

On the other hands, what are the steps or whatever to college admission, aids, or whatever?

Honestly, I'm really clueless/confuse/unsure about the whole college thing. I'm already stressing out in his mid July because I am afraid of not doing what I should be doing. Therefore, I'm asking you guys for help! I really don't know anything! I just know something big is happening early at the beginning of school.

I am so stress out that I start calculating my gpas, read my majors descriptions, career investigation, reconsider some situtations, and find ways to boast my scores on standardized test (which I plan to retake later).


College stuff is my biggest fear now.

See if you can get any fees waived in terms of applying for colleges, as well as SATs and whatnot. If your family income is supposedly below a certain amount, you can qualify and it CAN save you a bunch of money, and you might even qualify for financial aid. Oh and remember that FILING FOR FAFSA IS FREE. Do NOT be fooled by offers online that charge you a fee so they can "help" you fill out the fafsa. Ask your friends who have done it before because they can help you while you are filling it out (they can answer questions if you call them up and ask them what a certain question is asking you), as well as doing the fafsa with your parents. Don't give out information to other websites because you are never sure if your information might be compromised.

Try to decide for a college that might have majors you are interested in. yes, majors, with an S. You might change your mind later on while you're in college (PLENTY of people do!), and if you want to attend a university, it would be nice to stay in that university, instead of having to transfer to another just because it does not offer a major you might decide to change to, after going through a year of college.

Look into these things because you will be applying to colleges in the fall/winter, depending on what colleges/universities you are considering. If you're going with a public university in california, I believe you can apply to UCs in November, while you can apply to CSUs in October. I can't exactly remember though, so check up on dates.

As for prep classes -- can't help you there, considering I didn't do much in high school anyways. I wish I had studied for my AP tests and SATs. Too bad I was too busy sleeping in my AP and honors classes. Mmmmm
